Visa Application Form

The most crucial thing to be submitted during a Belgium visa appointment is the visa application process. You are required to submit the completed & signed Belgium visa form at the centre. The form must be printed, have accurate information, and there must be no omissions.

A Valid Passport

Indeed, it’s a necessary paper that visa centres demand. While getting a Belgium visa appointment, submit your valid passport, which must be issued within the last 10 years, and should also have two blank pages. The passport must be valid for at least three months after departure. Along with the original passport, provide a photocopy of the passport’s biometric page and previous visa (if you have any).

UK Residence permit

Are you a UK resident applying for a Belgium visa? Then proving your residency is necessary. Hence, applicants need to present proof of their legal residency in the UK. For this, you have to submit a UK eVisa/ share code (Earlier known as BRP – British residence permit). This permit must be valid for at least three months beyond departure from Belgium. You must submit the original document and a photocopy, this is because it is an essential document required by authorities to verify your legal residency.

Passport-Size-Photographs

Provide two recent passport-sized photographs, which must meet the Schengen standards. The photo submitted must be of 35mm x 45mm size, and these must have been taken within the last six months.

Make sure that the background is plain white and you have a neutral expression with a closed mouth. Complying with Schengen photo guidelines, you must not wear any headwear (unless worn for religious purposes), glasses, etc.

Travel Insurance

It is a mandatory and non-negotiable requirement that must be met by every Schengen applicant. The insurance must have coverage of €30,000, which is required to cover emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, and repatriation. The insurance must be valid for the entire Schengen region – not just Belgium.

Travel Itinerary

Submit the proof of your travel arrangements, including the round-trip reservations. These include confirmed flight bookings and other bookings. These showcase the full name, travel dates, flight numbers, destination, etc.

Accommodation proof

The place you are staying during your journey. As per the Schengen requirements, the accommodation proof needs to be submitted, like hotel reservations, an invitation letter, etc. In case you are travelling as a group and require a Belgium Schengen visa, then a group accommodation letter is acceptable.

Proof of Financial means

Another thing included in the documents required for Belgium visa is Financial proof. As per Schengen requirements, it is necessary for the applicants to prove that they have sufficient funds in their account to support themselves during the Belgium trip.

You must provide recent bank statements from the last three months showcasing sufficient funds. Also, you can submit the payslips (of the last three months), employment contract, and sponsor’s bank statement (if any).

Cover letter

Submit a cover letter explaining the purpose of your visit to this country, your intended itinerary, your planned duration of stay, and your dates to return to the UK. This letter adds clarity and context to your visa application, especially if your travel purpose isn’t strictly tourism.
